Summer Summer Summertime!
It's summertime and I RARELY get a turn on the computer! We are doing well. The kids will say they are bored if you ask them. But we stay fairly busy. Kennedy went to camp, the other kids went to VBS, we have friends over all the time, go swimming several times a week, today we
went to the movies. I'm tired!! lol Here are lots and lots of pictures!

Three meals and 14 snacks a day are not enough. Mac has to dig in the pantry for MORE food.
Mac's first "Concert by the Lake", sharing his snack with Bruno.
Refreshing slushie!
Swinging at the cousins' house in Kaufman
White trash baby, eating cantelope....in a diaper....on a deck.
VERY dark, but Mac's first movie. Half way through the bucket of popcorn he put his entire HEAD in it! Watched "Rio".
Mac's first ice cream cone. Perfect end to the day. Well.....after a bath! :)

SUMMER 2011 HAS STARTED
Sweet, sweet freedom! No more early alarm clocks, no more homework, no more projects, no more fees, no more buses, no more forgotten lunches, no more lunch money, no more ARDs, no more pick up line, no more school uniforms, goodbye school year!! Hello summer! Hello whining about boredom, hello fighting, hello messy house, hello endless laundry, hello fridge always open, hello sink always full, hello leaving the doors open and air conditioning the neighborhood, hello no peace for Mom! Life is..... life. Good and bad. Up and down. You'd better learn to roll with it, or you'll get flattened!
Karrigan is done with elementary school! I am going to be the mother of TWO middle schoolers! Karrigan got several awesome awards at her graduation. I think her favorite is an award from President Obama, along with a letter. My favorite is the highest GPA for the year in her class, and just .3 points behind the highest of the entire grade level! But....who's counting? Randy, that's who!
So, so, super proud of you!!!

Summer is almost here!
Summer is almost here and it's just in time! I don't think any of us could stand another week of school! A friend was kind enough to point out that this will be the first summer I've had 5 kids. Wow, that's a lot of kids, isn't it?? lol I am going to have to be creative to keep them busy. Three of them will go to VBS. Kennedy will go to Spina Bifida camp for a week (her favorite week of the entire year!). Karrigan will go to church camp for a week. Other than than, we will just wing it. I know we will swim a lot. We will hit the library often, have friends and cousins over, rent movies, take day trips and look for free/low cost things to do around town.
Nolan had his end of third grade awards. He got several, very important awards, most of which I can not name off the top of my head! lol But they were awesome. I know he was recognized in Math and Writing and Art. But there were a couple more.
Markus, watching the events.
A lovely summer gift from the birds.

Nolan THE MAN! Moving on to fourth grade!

Mac got his casts off!! The doctor loved the way his feet look. I am tickled!! I can't get over it. He is now wearing short leg braces (AFOs). They are camouflage and so stinkin cute! He will wear them during the day and for the next two months he will also be wearing them at night. The hospital gave us special shoes to fit over the AFOs. He doesn't NEED special shoes, they are just easier to get on and off. But they make his feet and braces look huge! He had his first bath in over two months yesterday. I can't WAIT to see what Mac is gonna do. Go Markus Go!

Mac WITHOUT casts
The first time in his AFOs. I know he will give the quality of the braces a good run for the money!
First bath in over 2 months!
Thursday morning, going to visit Grandpa. Still getting use to wearing shoes!
First bath in a while.
